Buying Metal Privacy Screens for Wholesale Orders

A wholesale screen order is easier to compare when every supplier is quoting the same finished product. A front-view photograph and a target price leave too many details unresolved: material, base design, hardware, finish and carton contents can all differ.

Define the sellable unit

Specify whether one unit means a panel alone or a complete kit with its supports. Identify the number of panels per carton and whether a planter insert, shelf or other accessory is included. Use a labelled drawing so purchasing, sales and the warehouse team share the same definition.

Record the overall dimensions and packed dimensions separately. For the metalwork, request the material and thickness measurement method. Describe the finish on both faces and approve a physical colour sample where appearance is important.

Evaluate a sample as a customer would

Open the carton, find the hardware and follow the instructions. Check that part labels match the parts list and that the diagram shows the orientation of the panel. Note any step that depends on information absent from the manual.

Inspect visible edges, corner treatment and the alignment of the assembled components. Photograph the agreed sample and record any changes before bulk production. If a sample needs modification, confirm which drawing revision the order will follow.

For a product such as the geometric metal screen planter, include the planter and its connections in the inspection. Approving only the decorative upper panel leaves a substantial part of the finished product unchecked.

Specify packaging for the route to market

Explain whether cartons will travel to a retailer on pallets or be shipped individually to customers. Ask how coated surfaces are separated and how small hardware is kept from moving against the panels. Confirm carton labels, handling information and the location of instructions.

Request packed dimensions and gross weight for the approved configuration. Use those figures to compare logistics proposals; do not estimate transport volume from the assembled product photograph. Discuss appropriate packaging validation with the supplier for the actual distribution route.

Plan for questions after delivery

Ask how replacement parts will be identified. A useful manual names individual components, so a customer can describe a missing foot or bracket without guessing. Keep the approved parts list and product revision available to the customer-service team.

Clarify the process for reporting shortages or damage, including the photographs and carton identifiers needed. Agree commercial terms, quantities and any warranty wording in the order documents rather than relying on general website language.

The current metal privacy screen catalogue can help you choose an initial shortlist. Then send a wholesale enquiry with the selected models, destination market, estimated quantity and sales channel. A specific brief allows the quotation to cover the complete product you intend to sell, including the details that customers will notice after unpacking.
